This Privacy Policy explains how Legacy Patterson LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”), a Virginia limited liability company, handles information in our apps, including Team Watcher for iPhone and Android and the Team Watcher web app at team-watcher.vercel.app (together, the “App”), our Legacy Watcher web app at legacy-watcher.vercel.app (see Section 15), and on this website. Sections 1–14 describe Team Watcher; Section 15 describes Legacy Watcher.

1. The short version

• No accounts. You never create an account, log in, or give us your name, email or phone number.
• We don’t collect or store your personal data on our servers. Your teams, bets and history are saved only on your device.
• No analytics, no ad networks, no tracking, no cookies. We don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
• Bet-slip photos are optional, read once and never saved. If you choose to scan a slip, the photo passes through our server to an AI service that reads it, and neither we nor the AI service keeps it (Section 4).
• We never sell or share your personal information.
• You can delete everything with the in-app “Delete all my data” button.

2. Information stored only on your device

The App saves the following only on your device (in the App’s local storage, or your browser’s local storage for the web app):

• the teams you follow and your favorite teams;
• bets you enter or confirm from a slip scan: team or selection, opponent, bet type, line, odds, stake, potential winnings, parlay legs, and the sportsbook name if printed on the slip (stored with the bet but not shown);
• your bet history and weekly records;
• a cached copy of recent scores so the App works offline;
• settings, such as light/dark look, whether you have seen the how-to, whether you agreed to the photo-reading notice, and your 21+ confirmation (only “ok” or “no” is saved, never your birth date).

We cannot see, access or recover this information. It is not sent to our servers. Your device’s own backup (for example iCloud or Google device backup) may include App data under Apple’s or Google’s terms.

3. Scores and technical request data

To show scores and game status, the App asks our server for a whole league’s scoreboard (for example, “all NFL games”). It does not send your team list, your bets, or any identifier. Everyone receives the same answer, and your device picks out your teams itself. Our server obtains scores and odds from third-party sports data providers; we send those providers no information about you.

Like nearly every online service, our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., automatically receives basic technical information when your device contacts our server: IP address, device and browser type (user agent), the page or data requested, and the time. Vercel keeps these request logs for a short period (currently about one day on our plan). We don’t add your information to those logs, and we don’t use them to identify, profile or track you. To prevent abuse of the slip reader, our server briefly holds a scrambled (salted and hashed) version of your IP address in memory for about 60 seconds to count requests; it is never saved.

4. Bet-slip photo reader (optional)

• We ask first. Before your first scan, the App explains that the photo is sent to an AI service and asks for your OK. If you say “Not now,” nothing is sent, and you can enter bets by hand instead.
• Your device shrinks the photo and sends it once over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our server.
• Our server passes it to an AI model through Vercel AI Gateway. Every request requires zero data retention and no use for training; if no provider can meet those terms, the request is refused. The model currently used is Google’s Gemini (Flash-Lite).
• The AI returns the bet details it reads, and you review and edit them on your device before saving.
• The photo is not stored or logged by us. It exists only in memory while the request is handled.

Slips can show other details, such as an account name or balance. Please crop them out before scanning.

5. Cookies, analytics and advertising

The App and this website set no cookies and use no analytics or crash-reporting tools, advertising IDs, ad networks, tracking pixels, session replay or fingerprinting. The web app uses your browser’s local storage and an offline cache, which you can clear at any time. The App may show built-in notices about our own future features; these are not targeted and collect nothing. We never show gambling ads, sportsbook links, affiliate links or promo codes. Because we don’t track you, the App does not display Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt.

6. Purchases

Team Watcher does not currently sell anything. If we offer optional paid features in the iPhone or Android apps in the future, they will be sold and processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We would not receive your name, payment card or store account details, and we would update this policy before launch.

7. Third-party services we use

We may disclose information if the law requires it, but in practice we hold almost nothing that could identify you. We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California and Virginia law, and we don’t use it for targeted advertising or profiling.

8. Deleting your data

There is no account to delete. To erase everything the App stores, open Settings → Delete all my data in the App. You can also uninstall the App, or for the web app clear this site’s data in your browser. Deletion is permanent and we cannot restore it. See our data deletion page for step-by-step instructions.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act and the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act may give you rights to know, access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal data, to opt out of its sale, sharing, targeted advertising or profiling, and to appeal our response. We honor these requests for everyone. Because your data stays on your device and we keep no user records, in most cases we hold no personal information about you. To make a request, email charles@legacy.sale. We will respond within 45 days. If we deny a request you may appeal, and Virginia residents may contact the Virginia Attorney General if they disagree with our appeal decision. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

10. Age requirement (21+) and children

Team Watcher is intended only for adults 21 and older and is not directed to children. The App asks users to confirm their age before use. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21, including children under 13 as defined by COPPA. If you believe a minor is using the App, delete its data on their device (Section 8) and contact us at charles@legacy.sale.

11. Security

All connections use HTTPS. The web app uses a strict content security policy that blocks third-party scripts. Slip photos are handled only in memory. No system is perfectly secure, and anyone with access to your unlocked device may see your App data.

12. Where data is processed

We operate from the United States, and the App is intended for users in the United States. Our service providers may process data in the United States or elsewhere under their terms.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will also show a notice in the App before the change takes effect. We will not begin collecting new types of personal information without first updating this policy and, where required, asking your permission.

15. Legacy Watcher

Legacy Watcher is our player-stats web app. It follows the same rules as Team Watcher: no accounts, no analytics, no ad networks, no tracking, no cookies, and nothing about you stored on our servers.

• Stored only on your device: the players you save to “My Players” (each player’s name, league, team abbreviation and public player ID), kept in your browser’s local storage, plus an offline copy of the app’s own files. That is all it stores. Nothing is sent to us when you save or remove a player.
• Stats requests: to show stats, the app asks our server for a league’s games, a game’s box score, a player’s stats, league leaders, or the results for a name you type in the search box. These requests contain no identifier, account or saved list, and we do not store them. Our server gets the stats from public ESPN sports data and sends ESPN nothing about you. Your device does not load images or anything else from ESPN or other third parties.
• Hosting logs: as described in Section 3, Vercel automatically receives standard request data (IP address, user agent, the page or data requested, and the time) and keeps it for a short period. We do not use it to identify or track you.
• No betting, no odds. Legacy Watcher shows stats only, with no odds, sportsbook links, affiliate links or ads. It is not affiliated with ESPN or any league, team or player.
• Deleting: tap ✕ next to a player on the home screen (or “Saved” on a player’s page) to remove them, or clear the site data for legacy-watcher.vercel.app in your browser to erase everything.
• Children: Legacy Watcher is a general sports-stats app and is not directed to children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone.
